The second meeting of the Speak Your Mind! project focused on building bridges between young people and decision-makers. During this stage, participants had a unique opportunity to engage directly with politicians, Members of the European Parliament, and representatives from the Ministry of Development. The event aimed to show young people how political decisions are made and how they impact the economy and society.
On the first day, participants attended workshops led by experts in economic policy and entrepreneurship development. Topics covered included economic trends in Europe, the impact of policies on the labor market, and local development strategies. They also learned about the Ministry of Development’s economic plan and had the chance to ask questions about specific government actions.
The following days featured a series of debates that engaged young people in dialogue with decision-makers. Topics included “The Migration Crisis – Benefits and Risks,” “Euro or Złoty?” and “The Role of the State in a Market Economy.” These discussions not only broadened participants’ knowledge but also taught them how to express their own opinions and articulate their arguments in the presence of experts.
The event concluded with panel discussions where young people could pose questions to decision-makers. This unique experience allowed participants to feel that their voices matter and that they can influence policy-making.
The project is co-financed by the European Union under the Erasmus+ program.
